Soft crabs are sea crabs that have firm meat filling their shells. They will molt to expand their size. The new shells are soft and the shells are wrinkled. Soft-shell crabs are nutritious food with high calcium and low cholesterol. They should be stored at -18 degrees Celsius. They have a shelf life of 18 months.
